Late-Night Munchies

We have all suffered from late-night snack attacks, but what are the best late-night hunger crushers for bodybuilders? According to Troy Adashun, a nutritionist and expert in fitness physiology, “There are plenty of options when you are late-night snacking. You’ll want something that will break down slowly and feed your muscles nutrients andprotein to recover throughout the night.” A casein protein shake is a terrific choice. Casein powders come in various flavors and have an incredible concentration of muscle-building amino acids that release slowly into your system as you sleep. Greek yogurt is another good option. It’s a great muscle builder due to its high fiber and protein and the fact that it’s low in sugar. Chowing down on eggs late at night can help boost testosterone and take your muscle building to the next level. And, finally, one small serving of cottage cheese is loaded with casein protein, very low in carbohydrates and extremely filling. So snack away, and grow for tomorrow!

Eating to Bulk Up is as easy Adding

1) Multiply your weight by your activity level to estimate your daily caloric needs for your current weight.
 2) Before you can increase your calorie intake you have to know what it takes per day to function:
If you are an active man multiply your weight by 15 but if you are inactive multiply by 13.
  • If you are an active women multiply your weight by 12 but if you are inactive multiply by 10.

Next

Add 500 or 1,000 to your calories needed to maintain current weight. Gain 1 to 2 lbs. per week by increasing your calorie intake by 500 to 1,000 per day. For example, if you require 2,000 calories per day but want to gain 1 lb. per week you must lincrease your daily calorie intake to  2,500.

Do your Workouts not Work?

Maybe these tips can be beneficial for you? Or leave a helpful tip.

You Lack The Passion To Get Results
High achievers in the gym get jacked up about results that can be in the form of increased muscle strength, increased muscle size, and increased muscle endurance. Those that fail in the gym usually lack a vision of their future physical states and a burning desire to realize positive change.

Visual Imagery Can Be A Very Powerful Force.

You Are Missing The Diet Equation
Whatever your reason for working out, you won’t get there without the proper diet and nutrition. And absolutely don’t make the mistake that “cardio” will effectively substitute for diet discipline because it won’t. Depending on your goal you’ll need a specific calorie target and the correct mix of lean protein, low-glycemic carbohydrates, and healthy fats.

You Make Workouts A Chore Instead Of Uplifting Fun
If it’s not fun you won’t do it. Too often people see their workouts as a kind of punishment for being out of shape, and that workouts are to be endured rather than celebrated.
